Fodboldballade Luis Figo and the pig's head.  When Barcelona star Luis Figo left the Catalan side for archrivals Real Madrid he knew he could expect a hot welcome on his return. Not as hot as the welcome for one innocent pig, however. When Figo lined up a corner-kick during the game on 23rd November, 2002, the head of a "cochinillo", or suckling pig, was flung at him, and the photographs made front page news around the world. One Barcelona director suggested that the pig's head had been smuggled in by photographers - "We don't even eat cochinillo in Barcelona" was his less than impregnable defence - but that's no consolation to the poor porker.
